Hey there! I'm a visual anthropologist and multimedia artist, with a research interest in Internet, social media, digital infrastructure, and politics of representation. I am currently seeking opportunities in film production, media and the arts.
Originally from Guangzhou, China, I am currently pursuing my MA in Visual Anthropology at Goldsmiths University of London. I conducted ethnographic fieldwork in Northeastern Nepal while studying abroad in 2018, exploring people's relationships with smart phones in a place lack of adequate Internet infrastructure, and how they relate to larger socio-political influences. I also produced an ethnographic short film during my last year of undergraduate at Brandeis University, investigating subcontract labor politics in the dining service sector of the university. Furthermore, I am interested in how artistic mediums such as film can inform on qualitative research and promote positive social impact.
Please feel free to reach out via. Instagram or email if you'd like to collaborate on any projects! Open to commissions and work opportunities.
