I travelled to Northeastern Nepal for a fieldwork project on smart phones, technology and its relationships with people in their everyday lives. I travelled up and down the famous Tamor Valley and its central business hub, Walung, which is only 27km away from the Nepal-China border. There, I stayed for 9 days with a family there, and had an experience of a life time. It took many uphill climbs, sweats and tears to reach the little safe haven up in the mountains. At least 3000 meters above sea level, one needs to climb up several cliffs to reach this village located on a little flat side of a mountain. There, clouds move through the village on the daily and is surrounded by greens and snow-capped mountains. These are just some pictures I've captured while I was there, irrelevant to my research project. I hope I can convey a fraction of what I felt and saw while I was there through these images.
